Andy Taylor

Sheriff Andy Taylor (born c. 1927) is the wise and gentle sheriff of Mayberry, North Carolina, in the 1960s. A widower, Taylor is raising his son Opie with the help of his Aunt Bee. His faithful deputy is Barney Fife; other local associates include the town drunk Otis and Floyd the Barber.
