Bret Maverick (September 16, 1841 – November 7, 1916) is a rogue and a gambler, active in the Wild West in the 1870s. He is born on the Maverick Ranch in Little Bend, Texas, and settles down in Sweetwater, Arizona.
Maverick has two brothers, Bart and Brent, and a cousin Beau.
